I'm off once again...
This time 'round it's my annual jaunt to the Edmonton Folk Fest.
This Year I am extremely excited to witness *live and acoustic*, one of my all-time fave artists - The Fabulous Ryan Adams!!!
(I know, I know.... I just have a weak spot for the alt-count-y'all-ternative scene. What's an aging riot-grrrrl to do?)
Actually, I'm pretty stoked about witnessing the melodic raspy-rants of the lovely Martha Wainright as well.... (I wrote a raving assessment of her self-titled album back in the spring in *New Music Reviews*)
Anywoo.... I will see you all on Tuesday with a fresh Update on the "Great Canadian Corrosion Experiment" and some highlights from my exciting roadtrip life.

don't feel ashamed Conns! I quite like Ryan Adams myself. Have you checked out the new Bright eyes disc? Emmy Lou Harris does vocals on a few songs. It's good!

the whole disc is great but your right, that was the first song I got stuck on. Don't have too much fun...you gotta save some energy to party with me labour day weekend. For real, you better be showing up!!!!
oh ya, the other disc that connor put out, Digital ash in a digital urn, sounds all electronica but it's great as well....Erin Recommended for sure.

I don't know connie, as an aging riot-grrrrl/boy I have a major concern over the glut of singer songwriters that bare their soles to find, oops, nothing there.
I want my SSW to have a bit of grit to them, like Mirah, or Elliott Smith... I do like Bright Eyes though.
